PALS YOUTH BASKETBALL ON THE COUNTY CHANNEL
Friday and Sunday, Jan. 9 & 11 – 7- and 8-year-old players
Friday and Sunday, Jan. 16 & 18 – 11-and 12-year-old players
The opening games of Beaufort County Parks and Leisure Services (PALS) Bluffton Youth Basketball League, which were played Monday, Jan. 5, are scheduled for broadcast on The County Channel, a service of Beaufort County Council.
Games by the 7- and 8-year-old players will air  at 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 9 and Sunday, Jan. 11.
The 11- and 12-year-olds will show their stuff at 8 p.m.  Jan. 16 and 18.
Beaufort County Administrator Gary Kubic said the broadcasts represent an opportunity to showcase healthy sports and recreation.
“We are very proud of our new Bluffton gym which was officially dedicated by Council Chairman Weston Newton about one hour before these opening games," he said. "We are also very proud of our talented young players and want to share this positive activity with our citizens who may wish to view the games at home.”
The County Channel is carried on all local cable stations and is streamed on the home page of the county Web site, bcgov.net. It can be found on Charter Cable channel 20, Comcast Cable channel 2, Hargray Cable channel 252, Time Warner Hilton Head Cable channel 66 and Time Warner Sun City Cable channel 63.
