Teens hit the court with local cops

Bluffton police officers laced up their sneakers to take on some Bluffton teens for a basketball tournament Nov. 10 at the M.C. Riley Sports Complex.

“This is an opportunity for the young members of our community to get to know our police officers on a personal level, but also the chance to have fun with the men and women of our department,” said Bluffton Police Chief Chris Chapmond.

The teams were pre-selected by local youth group leaders and Chapmond. The 3-on-3 teams played half court, and after the games, the officers cooked hot dogs for those who participated in the tournament.
