After all, during the course of his career he’s raised three children to adulthood in the Lowcountry and helped generations of pet owners keep their furry friends happy and healthy.

There’s something new and different on Hilton Head Island. A town that already set a standard as a bicycle friendly community is now the launchpad for a brilliant new concept in cycling that’s taking the hospitality world by storm. It’s called Avocado Bikes, and it’s the brainchild of island local Ken Fagut, and his incredible partners.

For James Terry, the road to Crown & Anchor Barber Co. starts in a garage on Long Island.

“I started cutting my own hair, and that turned into friends and family. I built a barber shop in my parents’ garage,” he said. “I was 18 years old and basically opening a busines. So many random people started showing up at my house, it didn’t look good to the neighbors. So, my parents told me to go get my license and get out of the garage.”

Whether in the tranquil surrounds of Hilton Head Island or the rigors of active military service, Dr. David Reid has distinguished himself as one of the foremost plastic surgeons in our region. His experience as a surgeon brought him from the Bowman Gray School of Medicine at Wake Forest University to the Walter Reed Army Medical Center, building on a reputation and depth of knowledge he brings to every patient since moving to Hilton Head Island and opening Hilton Head Plastic Surgery and MedSpa.
