scgamecockIf you’re a fan of the University of South Carolina Gamecocks, there is a good chance you’ve already seen the “Ride for My Team (Forever to Thee)” fan video that has gone viral on the Internet. As of Sept. 17, the video had been played 111,476 times on YouTube, just 28 days after it was posted to the site by creators Dynobrite Productions.

Country music star Darius Rucker, Miss South Carolina 2013 Brooke Mosteller, San Francisco 49ers running back Marcus Lattimore and former USC star George Rogers are all featured in the music video along with players from every era of Gamecock football. The music is done by a collection of Columbia-based rappers.

Pino Gelato and The Village at Wexford are hosting an animal rescue fundraiser titled, "Gelato For Paws" from 2-5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 12 at the Village at Wexford. Free activities, contests and food samples will be provided. No entrance fee.

Award winning naturalist and author Todd Ballantine will lead a guided sea kayak nature tour from 9-11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 5, departing from Wilson Landing at Palmetto Bluff. Ballantine, the author of Lowcountry field guide “Tideland Treasures” is an internationally recognized educator, environmental scientist, writer and artist.

The Cottage Cafe, Bakery & Tea Room is hosting a Wednesday dinner and lecture series titled "Journey of a Spiritual Nomad" with Dwanna Paul. The three parts of the series are Beyond the Veil: Connect to the Other Side (Oct. 2), Hauntings: Things That Go Bump in the Night (Oct. 9) and Gallery: Message from the Other Side (Oct. 16).

The Art League of Hilton Head announces its most exciting fundraising event where all ticket holders are winners. GOT ART? is a charity art auction event that will be held Wednesday, Oct. 2 in the Walter Greer Gallery located in the Arts Center of Coastal Carolina to benefit Art League of Hilton Head, a 501 (c) 3 charitable organization.
