Hundreds of sea turtle lovers turned out to watch last month when seven of the big reptiles were released back into the Atlantic Ocean after recuperative stays at the South Carolina Aquarium’s sea turtle hospital.

Many of us take eating a good old-fashioned PB&J sandwich for granted, overlooking the filling American staple. For those less fortunate, however, peanut butter is not only filling, it’s also a great source of nutrition due to its high fat and protein content.
Cornhole anyone?
I’m not sure about you, but the game cornhole is very new to me. It’s a game, however, that’s starting to resonate with me and many other Blufftonians, who — in their usual eccentric way — have caught the cornhole bug.
5 things about Father’s Day
A daughter began it
The first government-certified Father’s Day in the United States was proclaimed exactly 100 years ago by the mayor of Spokane, Wash. He acted at the request of Sonora Dodd, daughter of a widowed farmer, William Smart. Smart had raised his six children alone after their mother died in childbirth.
But while Mother’s Day was presidentially established in 1914, it took until 1966 for Father’s Day to become similarly marked.
Gifts for the foodie dad
Father’s Day raises the eternal questions: Should I get him a tie again? How about getting him something for the foodie that lurks within?

Waverunners make for exciting day
We see them zip by with little time to even catch a glimpse. These speeding vessels might look a bit scary, but taking a PWC — or personal watercraft — out on the water can help make your vacation a special adventure.
More than 1.2 million Americans annually ride personal watercrafts, which are more commonly known by their brand names, such as Waverunners.
Though some models can seat up to three people, many prefer to ride solo like a motorcycle. They’re powered by an inboard motor and pump jet, and riders steer and accelerate using throttle handles. Just a squeeze gives the rider a chance to cruise the water with the wind in their hair.
A passion for paddle-boarding
Looking for a new core exercise while enjoying the outdoors? Paddle boarding is the sport for you.
“It’s been a sport of royalty in Hawaii for generations,” said Mike Overton, founder of Outside Hilton Head.
Paddleboards are similar to surfboards, but instead one stands on the board while paddling on one side at a time.
