The second annual Hilton Head Island Shrimp Festival has expanded to two days this year and will be held Sept. 20-21 in Harbour Town in Sea Pines. Sponsored by The Sea Pines Resort, the event kicks off with a focus on craft brews as more than 12 local and regional breweries pour samples for attendees ages 21 and older. The next day, the spotlight is on food and family fun: Sample shrimp served up by local restaurants, enjoy live music by Cranford Hollow and let the kids run wild in the kids’ zone.

HILTON HEAD PREP STUDENTS TAKE THE STAGE IN INAUGURAL SHOWCASE
Patti Maurer, Hilton Head Preparatory School’s new artistic director, wanted to kick the new year off with a bang by starting a new Prep tradition: the “Fall Spectacular,” a cabaret-style revue featuring Prep students acting, dancing, singing and performing in the band and orchestra.
“For my first production at Hilton Head Prep, I wanted to provide an opportunity for a variety of talented actors, dancers, musicians and vocal students to be involved,” Maurer said.
