The Hilton Head Island High School boys track team ran to three first-place finishes at the state track and field meet May 15-16 at Lower Richland High School outside of Columbia.
The Seahawks finished third in the Class 3-A boys team standings, just behind Battery Creek High School.
Spencer Wallace won the 1,600-meter run and Jack Felix was the 3,200-meter champion on the meet’s second day. Wallace and Felix also were part of the Seahawks’ other victory, joining with Clifford Morrow and Michael Brewer on the first day of the meet to capture the 4x800 relay. It was Hilton Head High’s third consecutive state title in the 3,200 relay.
