This year, however, event sponsors have announced that HarbourFest will have a reduced fireworks schedule, due to a combination of declining sponsorship revenue and increased event costs, according to a press release. Instead of featuring fireworks on 12 Tuesdays as in summers past, the current plan for HarbourFest 2010 is to have fireworks scheduled on eight consecutive Tuesday evenings, plus the traditional July 4 fireworks display.
The tentative Tuesday night fireworks dates are June 22, 29, July 6, 13, 20, 27 and August 3 and 10. Plus, an expanded fireworks show will be presented on Sunday, July 4, at dusk.
