Spring is in the air, and I cannot think of a finer place to be than Blufton, S.C. We salute this time of year with our annual Blufton Village Festival. This is held every year on the saturday before Mother’s Day. The event has grown in time from just a few hundred local residents to over 7,000 locals and visitors.

Also this month begins our ever famous Blufton Farmers Market. This takes place every thursday from 2 to 6 p.m. at Carson Cottages on Calhoun st. This beloved gathering only gets better as the season progresses.
What a great time to support your local small farmers by coming out on any thursday during the spring and summer. It will be worth your while.
Progress on the streetscape and Oyster Factory park continue, so don’t hesitate to take a short drive to Bluffton and see why so many people are excited to call this beautiful town home. We also continue to work with the county on our regional comprehensive plan, paving projects from the 1 cent sales tax, and the focus on the May river.
