Bluffton Councilman Charlie Wetmore was arrested Feb. 7 after an altercation with his 16-year-old son, according to a report from the Bluffton Police Dept. Wetmore was elected to the Bluffton Town Council in 2006 and ran an unsuccessful campaign for Bluffton mayor last year.
His council seat will be up for re-election in 2010.
