The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the robbery of a Domino’s Pizza delivery driver around 10 p.m. Saturday in Bluffton.
A 33-year old female driver reported having been robbed after trying to deliver a pizza at Plantation Pointe Apartments, 897 Fording Island Road.
The driver said she had attempted to deliver a pizza to a residence in the complex, but after knocking on the door of the apartment was told by a woman inside that she had not ordered any pizzas.
The driver returned to her vehicle with the pizzas, and as she was placing them back into the warmer she was approached from behind by an unknown white male suspect.
The suspect pushed her back into her vehicle and took the pizzas from her, then fled on foot further into the apartment complex. The driver wasn't injured in the incident, and returned to the Domino’s Pizza at 30 Plantation Park Drive to contact law enforcement.
The suspect is described as a white male with blond hair, approximately 6-feet tall, 150 lbs., between the ages of 19 and 25. He was described as wearing a white hat, a dark-colored hooded parka, and blue jeans with checkered boxer shorts showing.
The Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone with any information to contact the Beaufort County Dispatch Center at (843) 524-2777.
