Beaufort County Sheriff P.J. Tanner held a news conference Dec. 10 to review the investigation into the disappearance of Hilton Head Islanders John and Elizabeth Calvert. The couple has been missing since a meeting with Dennis Gerwing regarding the financial management of the Harbour Town Yacht Basin on March 3.
Gerwing’s body was found March 11 in a villa on Hilton Head and his death was ruled a suicide.
