On a trip home to visit my parents in Ohio for their 60th wedding anniversary last month, I came across a treasure in the attic: This is my mom and dad, Mary Lou and Walter Roehll, on their wedding day in 1951. That means this year they’re celebrating 60 years of marriage — a figure that you don’t hear about much these days.
And that got us thinking: We show off a lot of local brides in the magazine and our Bridal Show, but what about the brides (and grooms) who’ve hit milestones of their own?
So it’s your turn, anniversary people: If you (or your parents or grandparents) have celebrated a monumental anniversary, email your photos, stories and tales to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it ; and we’ll showcase the best ones in an upcoming bridal section.
Oh, and one more thing: Congrats, Mom and Dad.
