Dear Monthly,
Thank you for the August profi le of Roy Goyochea, the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Lowcountry’s “Youth of the Year.” Roy was selected among hundreds of teenagers who attend one of the six clubs in Beaufort and Jasper Counties. Roy’s accomplishments speak highly of his character as well as the Club resources available to members in the region.
Thank you for giving Roy and our program muchdeserved recognition. I believe it does an awful lot of good for the community to hear about the positive choices our area teens are making as they develop their place in the world. Your feature provides a vision for success that will inspire other club members to continue to work harder each day.
Every day, our staff works together with the community to assure our motto of “Great Futures Start Here” is reality for many. Each Club offers several programs to provide members with the resources to enhance their academic performance, athletic abilities, artistic expression, civic involvement and character development.
Ultimately, it is through many avenues that our children succeed. I thank Monthly for being a community partner and helping us celebrate our youth.
