The Town of Hilton Head Island Fire & Rescue has hired Nicholas Pfeifer as a firefighter. Pfeifer received his bachelor’s in communications from Ohio State. He is also a graduate of the S.C. Fire Academy and is assigned to Station 7.

Czarnecki named GM at The Westin

Andrew Czarnecki has been named general manager for The Westin Hilton Head Island Resort & Spa. Czarnecki brings over 25 years of experience to his new position, having most recently served as the complex general manager in Tuscon, Ariz., at the Four Points by Sheraton Tucson University Plaza and Sheraton Tucson Hotel and Suites.

Jeffrey Scheider

Hampton Lake names Scheider head fishing guide

Avid fisherman and Lowcountry native Jeffrey Scheider has been named head fishing guide at Hampton Lake, the first private lake community in the Hilton Head Island/Bluffton area. Scheider will oversee the 165-acre freshwater lake’s habitats and its fish populations, namely the largemouth tiger bass and hybrid striped bass.

Traute M. Raedisch has been promoted to banking officer by the National Bank of South Carolina. Before joining NBSC in 2005 she attended the Photo Schule in Bremen, Germany, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in photography.

Stuart P. Wilbourne

Wilbourne to lead Celebrity Golf Tournament

Stuart P. Wilbourne has been elected chairman of the Celebrity Golf Foundation and will lead the annual fund-raising event through its 29th year. The tournament, Sept. 4-6 is a Labor Day Weekend tradition on Hilton Head Island and has raised more than $3 million for children’s charities. Wilbourne is a 25-year banking industry veteran and is the city president of SunTrust Bank, responsible for the Private Wealth Management team.

Promotions, new hires at Palmetto Athletic Club

Kevin Breedlove has joined Palmetto Athletic Club as the director of marketing and strategic planning. Breedlove received his bachelor’s degree in marketing from the University of Georgia and later spent time in the NFL with the Chargers and Buccaneers. Originally from Arlington, Texas, he earned his MBA and master’s  degree in the field of marketing research from Clemson University.
Taylor Fisher

Taylor Fisher has been promoted to fitness director at Palmetto Athletic Club. Originally from Hendersonville, N.C., Fisher is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he earned his bachelor’s degree in exercise and sports science-fitness professional.

Ashley Damude, Ashley Damude, a licensed massage therapist, and has expanded her role to include managing the front office and reception area. Originally rom Mansfield Ohio, she specializes in deep tissue and sports massage.
Zach Mullinax

Zach Mullinax has been promoted to vice president of operations, along with his personal training responsibilities. Originally from Greensboro, N.C., he earned his bachelor’s degree at Furman University, where he was a member of the National Champion Paladin rugby team.
