Jim MacLeod, president and chief operating officer of CoastalStates Bank, was invited to attend the recent Conference on the Future of Housing Finance hosted by Secretary of the Treasury Timothy Geithner and Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Shaun Donovan. Joining MacLeod was a distinguished group of 200 academics, policymakers, mortgage and real estate industry leaders and other executives invited by the Obama administration to help steer the government’s role in financing homes for Americans.

• Coastal Carolina Hospital in Hardeeville has announced that Andrew W. Shea has been promoted to chief financial officer and Shelly Weilenman, R.N., has been promoted to chief nursing officer.
