New jewelry store comes to town

Darryl and Nancy QuinnDarryl and Nancy Quinn recently opened Quinn’s Jewelers at the Village of Wexford on Hilton Head Island. The Quinns are secondgeneration jewelers with 33 years of experience owning and operating three stores in Illinois.

Luis Vargas

Vargas joins physical therapy center

Palmetto Therapy Services welcomes Luis Vargas, a physical therapist for 33 years. Vargas will serve as the director of aquatic rehabilitation. He has specialized in aquatic therapy since 1993, wrote the book “Aquatic Therapy: Interventions and Applications,” and has received numerous national and international awards for his work.

Jennie Cerrati

Cerrati heads up firm’s Bluffton location

Jennie Cerrati recently joined Tupper, Grimsley & Dean, P.A., a Beaufort-based law firm. Cerrati will open the firm’s new Bluffton office in the Sun Trust building at Westbury Park. She specializes in family law, which includes custody, support, property and financial issues. She also will practice civil defense and general litigation. Cerrati was formerly an associate with Brot & Gross, LLP in Sherman Oaks, Calif., where she focused on family law.
James McNab

Cancer center hires oncologist

The Beaufort Memorial Keyserling Cancer Center recently welcomed radiation oncologist James McNab. Before coming to Beaufort, McNab was a clinical assistant professor in the radiation oncology department at University of North Carolina’s School of Medicine. McNab served as chief of the radiation oncology service at William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso, Texas. He advanced to chief of radiation oncology service at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C. Additionally, McNab is a fellow in the American College of Radiation Oncology and is boardcertified in therapeutic radiology and oncology by the American Board of Radiology.
Rebecca Shirbroun

Shirbroun joins center

Rebecca Shirbroun recently joined Main Street Health Center. She is a licensed acupuncturist in South Carolina and Minnesota. She is certified in Oriental Medicine by the National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Additionally, Shirbroun attended advanced training at Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in China.
Kim Likins

Promotions at Theatre

Kim Likins has recently been named Main Street Youth Theatre’s first executive director in charge of expanding business operations, which includes marketing, box office, grants and fundraising. The Youth Theatre also promoted long-time director Jodi Layman to artistic director. Layman has served as choreographer and director for the past five years. In her new position, Layman will provide creative direction for the Youth Theatre, in addition to directing performances and creating the after-school and summer camp curriculums.
Marshall Horton

Lawyer joins Bluffton office

Marshall Horton has joined Clark and Stevens P.A. Attorneys at Law to manage the Bluffton location, 25 Clarks Summit Drive, Suite 102. Horton is a graduate of Rutgers Law School and attended the Citadel for undergraduate studies. Horton offers several years of experience in personal injury and employment litigation in state and federal courts. He also specializes in divorce and child custody cases.
Capt. Megan McLaughlin

Private charter opens on Hilton Head

Capt. Megan McLaughlin recently launched Island Time Charters, a private charter business on Hilton Head Island. Her 25-foot pleasure craft offers an array of water adventures, including daytime cruises to Savannah and Beaufort, dolphin watching, marsh exploring, water sports, sunset sails and firework sightings.

Palmetto Athletic ClubAthletic club adds a location

Palmetto Athletic Club recently added a new location in the Northridge shopping center.

The 13,000-squarefoot facility has been completely renovated to accommodate a cardio cinema, mixed martial arts, weights, cardio and group fitness classes.

Palmetto Athletic Club offers programs for people looking to lose weight, improve their sports performance or recover from an injury.

Dental office moves to new location

Camp and Eibling Dental recently moved offices to 92 B Main St. on Hilton Head Island, just off the Hilton Head Plantation traffic circle. The three-dentist practice now offers computers in every treatment room, which makes scheduling easier, and new dental chairs with a massage feature. New shuttle service offers rides to airport

Kelly Tours, a group travel specialist based in Garden City, Ga., now offers bus charters and the new K-Shuttle, an airport transportation service from Hilton Head Island and Bluffton to the Savannah-Hilton Head International Airport. For more information, call 800-442-6152.

 

Hilton Head Island business expands

On-Site Cleaning Services recently expanded its services to Bluffton and Okatie. The three-year-old firm specializes in cleaning a variety of large-size structures, such as banks, office buildings, schools and car showrooms, according to Patrick Jenkins, On-Site general manager.

 

Hospitality Association announces hire

Ivy Myer is the new member and office services coordinator for the Hilton Head Hospitality Association. Myers is in charge of managing daily office operations and providing membership support. Myers has worked for ResortQuest and for the Southeastern Entertainment Restaurant Group. She graduated from Elon University in 2003 with a bachelor’s of science in digital art and a minor in business administration.

 

Surgeons join Beaufort Memorial Hospital

Coastal Carolina Surgical Associates joined the staff of Beaufort Memorial Hospital last month. The group’s new name is Beaufort Memorial Surgical Specialists, and has offices in Bluffton and Hampton. H. Tim Pearce formed Coastal Carolina Surgical in 1983. Other physicians in the group are Gordon Krueger, Perry Burrus, Steve Sisco and Neil McDevitt. J. Chad Tober, a vascular surgeon, joined in 2005.
