Four organizations get grants

The Greater Bluffton Community Endowment Fund recently awarded its inaugural grants totaling $10,000 to four Bluffton-based nonprofits.

Bluffton Self Help received a grant of $2,000 for food assistance The Children’s Center-Bluffton received a grant for $4,000 for the “Children in Crisis” program, which targets families who are at risk of withdrawing their children due to their economic circumstances. The grant dollars will be used to sponsor a child’s continued attendance at the Center.

The Church of the Cross Food Bank received a grant for $2,000 to purchase a freezer and supplement the protein food purchase for their clients.

Meals-on-Wheels, Bluffton-Hilton Head received a grant for $2,000 to provide hot meals for incomequalified Bluffton residents. The organization currently serves 30-36 clients daily in the Greater Bluffton area.
