Colleton River Golf Academy has received PGA of America recognition for its golf professional certification program. David La Pour, Colleton River’s director of instruction, was featured in the latest issue of PGA Magazine for his contribution to advanced education of the PGA staff at Colleton River.

Hospital earns Heart Association award
Hilton Head Hospital recently received the American Heart Association’s “Get With The Guidelines — Coronary Artery Disease Gold Performance Achievement Award,” which recognizes the hospital’s commitment and success in implementing a higher standard of cardiac care that effectively improves treatment of patients hospitalized with coronary artery disease.
Bruderer earns certification
Hilton Head Island’s Ernst W. Bruderer, the principal of Overterra USA, an international real estate consulting company, has completed his National Association of Realtors certification as Resort and Second Home Property Specialist and NAR’s GREEN Designation. He also became a member of the GREEN Resource Council, which advocates green principles in the design and use of homes.
