J Banks Design Group received five Excellence in Design awards at the 2009 ASID of the Carolinas conference and awards gala in Wrightsville Beach, N.C. Coastal Carolina accredited for pathology
Coastal Carolina Hospital’s laboratory has been awarded accreditation by the Accreditation Committee of the College of American Pathologists, based on the results of a recent onsite inspection. Coastal Carolina Hospital’s laboratory is now one of nearly 7,000 CAP-accredited laboratories nationwide.

Palmetto Dunes wins web site award
Palmetto Dunes Oceanfront Resort recently won the 2009 Web Marketing Association Hotel & Lodging Standard of Excellence Award for the redesign of the resort’s web site, www.palmettodunes.com. The award was announced at the Web Marketing Association’s 13th Annual WebAward Competition.
Chamber earns marketing accreditation
The Hilton Head Island-Bluffton Chamber of Commerce has been awarded accreditation from the Destination Marketing Accreditation Program, one of only 93 Destination Marketing Organizations nationwide that have achieved accreditation.
Local spa named favorite in contest
Hilton Head Health has been named as a Silver Sage Readers’ Choice winner in the category of Favorite Affordable Spa. This is the third consecutive year that Hilton Head Health has been honored with this award. More than 100,000 votes were cast this year for SPA magazine’s third annual Silver Sage Readers’ Choice Awards.
