Skull Creek Fourth of July Celebration

Celebrating its 25th year of the Skull Creek Fourth of July Celebration, Hudson’s On the Docks Restaurant and a host of nearby sponsors will put on a party to honor its silver anniversary. Fireworks will be shot off from a barge on the Intracoastal Waterway. No coolers allowed.

  • When/where: 6-10 p.m., fireworks start at approximately 9:30 p.m.; Skull Creek Marina/Hudson’s On the Docks, Squire Pope Road
  • Parking: Free parking and shuttle service from the Boys & Girls Club on Gumtree Road. Don’t park on Squire Pope or Gumtree roads or you risk being towed and ticketed.

Mid-island

Independence Day at Harbour Fest

Harbour Fest on the 4th of July at Shelter Cove is an expanded version of the activities at Shelter Cove each Tuesday night during the summer. There is music, children’s activities, food and more. Entertainer and longtime island fixture Shannon Tanner performs interactive, familyfriendly shows with original ballads, ‘60s standards and sing-a-longs.

  • When/where: July 4; entertainment, activities start at approximately 6:30 p.m., with fireworks at 9 p.m.

Harbour Town 4th of July Festival

Harbour Town, which is the most recognizable marina on Hilton Head Island, has put on a fireworks show for about 20 years. This is a family-friendly, children-oriented evening. No coolers allowed.

  • When/where: July 4. Children’s activities start at 4 p.m.; fireworks at dusk. Harbour Town, Sea Pines Resort
  • Parking: Gate fee to enter Sea Pines is $5. Shuttle buses and the Sea Pines trolley will be available throughout the evening. Go about a quarter-mile past the main gate and the parking lot will be on the left; look for signs.
