New Year’s Day
Bluffton New Year’s Day Polar Bear 5K: 9 a.m. Jan. 1 at Berkeley Place on Buckwalter in Bluffton. The 3rd Annual Bluffton New Year’s Day Polar Bear 5K will start and finish at Cinemark in Bluffton, taking participants down Buckwalter Parkway, onto the Bluffton Parkway, through Buckwalter Place, running around the Care Core building and then back to finish at Cinemark.
All participants in the Polar Bear 5K will receive a colorful race T-Shirt. The event will also include an award ceremony and post-race celebration.
Entry fee of $25 must be postmarked by Dec. 27. Fee on race day is $30. Proceeds benefit Bluffton High School’s cross country team and Bluffton Fins swim team.
