Hilton Head Health Celebrates the Premiere of Its Appearance on A&E’s “HEAVY” with a Fundraising Premier Party Event.
HILTON HEAD ISLAND, SC (Feb. 11, 2011) – Hilton Head Health (H3), one of the nation’s leading weight loss and lifestyle management resorts, invites the local community to come out and celebrate its national debut on A&E’s new weight loss docudrama “HEAVY.” On Monday, Feb. 21st from 9–11pm, H3 will host a premier party at Park Plaza Cinema. The event will feature guest appearances by H3 Trainers and Staff, as well as one of the participants of the show. Admission to the event is free; seating is limited to 175. There will be healthy refreshments, t-shirts and raffle tickets available for purchase.
In honor of National Heart Month, all event proceeds will benefit the local chapter of the American Heart Association (AHA). According to the AHA, cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death in the US, with obesity increasing these odds in people of all ages. Attendees will have the opportunity to support the AHA by making donations, along with purchasing healthy snacks, t-shirts and raffle tickets. Raffle prizes include one Day Pass to H3, one 2 ½ hour cooking demonstration at H3 and one gift bag loaded with H3 FIT Shop favorites including the popular H3 Cookbook. Raffle tickets will cost $5 each or five tickets for $20.
From 9-10pm, attendees will have the opportunity to meet the H3 Staff featured on the show, as well as one of the show participants, Stacia Kingston – all while indulging in healthy snacks prepared by the Chefs at H3. Beginning promptly at 10pm, guests will watch “HEAVY” along with the rest of America, on the big screen in one of the Park Plaza Cinema auditoriums. For those unable to attend, H3 encourages everyone to still support their community by watching “HEAVY” on A&E from home at 10pmEST every Monday.
H3 president and CEO, Robert Moore states, “We couldn’t be happier with the positive response from the series – and couldn’t think of a better way to share our excitement about the episodes featuring our facility than with our own community.”
